What it means...

Service ID, Line Number, Circuit

This is your lowest billing account and inventory billing ID number. The value could be a mobile number, phone number, circuit, conferencing ID, etc.

GL

General Ledger - this is your unique string of ledger codes used to allocate your invoice charges.

Billing Item (BI)

This is a specific line item that appears on your invoice. Examples of billing items include:

  • Federal Universal Service Fee

  • Dedicated Internet Access DSL NI Related

  • Municipal Telecommunications Tax

  • 20% value added tax

Billing Item Group Type

The platform automatically groups the billing items into related classifications so you can easily identify how much you are spending on services. These types appear as Non Recurring, Usage, MRC, Equipment, Surcharges, Taxes, or Late Fee.

Billing Group

Within the Group Type are Billing Groups, which help you determine what kind of group charges you are incurring. For example, MRC is broken out into several Billing Groups, like:

  • MRC - Insurance

  • MRC - Messaging

  • MRC - Voice Only

  • MRC - International

Class and Subclass

Class is how the Asignet classifies the main service, such as Wireless, Data, or Voice. Subclass is a sub-category within the Class, such as Smartphone, Broadband, MPLS, Tollfree, or PRI.
