Overview

The purpose of this lesson is explain the different features associated to the Project Details page at General Options. This panel will help us to change any aspect that we selected in our first setup and now that we are in a process of learning the application, we want to renew.

Preconditions

Login on Wayfast and focus on the left side navigator page. Verify that the Project has any “Active Task” available. You can visit the “Requirements” lesson for more information related to tasks.

Click on “General Options” icon at the top menu. Then click on “Modify Project” subtab

In this section, we can modify any information related to the Project that was established in the “New Project” creation process. However, there are certain fields, for example “Project” that will remain grayed out.

Let’s going to review the different aspects in Project!

How to translate Project’s description?

Focus on “Description” field under “Modify Project” screen. This field is editable. If we click on “Translate” button, a popup is displayed with all the languages available in Wayfast.

Select the language and input the “Translation” value. This input will be mapped and displayed on the Application interface when the synchronization applies to this specific language.

For example, this project has “Spanish” as main language. If we change this to “English”, the translation that we map in “Description” automatically will be displayed in replacement.

NOTE: You must select the default language for the project and then establish the translations into different languages. See the “Translator” feature for more information.

How to change the Project’s skin?

In previous lessons, we explained how we can select an skin under the “New Project” creation. At “Modify Project” page, Wayfast allows us to edit this selection.

Click on “Change Skin” button

A popup displays different templates to apply in application’s interface. The layout we select in this step will be used by default on the pages we create in the future. Also the buttons and popups are going to be defined by this skin selected.

Scroll down and select the new skin. Confirm by clicking on “Accept” button.

NOTE: We can check the new skin by making a preview on any page from the Project.

How to copy a Project in Wayfast?

Turn to “Modify Project” screen, Click on “Copy Project” button

“Copy Project” popup is displayed by completing the new project name and description.

After saving this action, all the objects related to the original project will be copied and allocated in the new project. Pages, datasets and controls will remain the same in both places.

Notice that “Solution” dashboard displays the original project and the copied with same objects.

How to move Projects into different folders?

Navigate through the Solution link at the top

Solution’s dashboard is displayed on screen.

Click on “Folder” button

Once the new folder is created, we can organize the new or existing projects into different containers.

If we can add the project into this folder, return to “Modify Project” page and we can observe that the folder previously created is now available on “Folders” dropdown

Select the previous one created and click on “Accept” button

On “Solution” dashboard, we can see that the folder is now synchronize to the Project edited.

NOTE: Wayfast has the ability to manage and organize the Projects in different containers and sub containers.

How to reassign a Project in another Solution?

Once the project is created, we can reassign the Solution previously linked to the Project. Again, we need to click on “Modify Project” and turn to “Solution” Dropdown field.

Wayfast will retrieve all the Solutions available and we can choose to move the Project to a different container.

Recap

We learnt about how we can modify the Project’s details. Wayfast has the ability to reorganize these projects under different Solution containers and moreover, the possibility to make a copy from the project that we are working on and establish a different version based on the objects already generated.
