Overview
This lesson is focused on how we can create new Pages in Wayfast. Like we explained in other lessons, Pages are the main unit to build User Interfaces in Wayfast. Even if we are building Web or Mobile applications the life of our end users inside our app is going to happen between pages. You can think of a page as an application screen. Pages are made of controls, datasets and actions. The visual structure of a Wayfast page is defined by its layout.
How to create a new Page in a Project?
Before creating a page we need to make sure we cover a few conditions. We need a Solution and a Project. We can create them from scratch or reuse an existing project. In this example we are going to reuse our “To-Do App” project. Once we have our Project we need to make sure we have a skin and layout set for this project. First let’s click on “Project Pages” button at the top menu.

“Pages” dashboard displays all the Pages for in this Project . It contains a grid that shows and some useful information about them like the amount of Datasets, Controls and Actions associated to each page.

There are two types of page types:
“Form” type is used to create screens or standard pages.
“Include” type is meant to create composite controls that can be embedded in other pages.
The “Is Initial Page” checkbox allows you to set a page as the starting point of your application. This means this page will be the first to be displayed when you run your application.
If we focus on In the “Layout” dropdown field , we can pick choose one of the layouts associated to the Project, this option will . The layout is the visual “skeleton” to indicate Wayfast how to organize the controls that we are going to add to this page.
